Teerthome aspires to also provide a home for us, humans aspiring to becoming spiritual beings surrounded by astounding elements of creation and evolution. Discovered by two mad people driven by magic and music, Teerthome is but only a physical space for the spiritual journey undertaken by the community of Smile With Knowledge.

With a purpose to create a harmonious and sustainable habitat, Smile With Knowledge at Teerthome is assisted by members of the community to preserve, protect, and build a natural environment for all interactions.

Custodians of Teerthome

Our caretakers come from the neighbouring communities of Khankira, Naba Laulai and Kantamalia. Having joined us for ad hoc jobs, they are now regular members and an integral part of our growth.

Kalpataru: The youngest and our main caretaker for the regular nurturing and protection of plants. With care for meticulous details, he is also our go-to person for outside errands.

Srikanta: The multi-skilled handyman with physical strength and an aptitude to learn and have a go at any job. From masonry to gardening and basket weaving, he is the person to come up with “jugaad” (creative) ideas whenever needed.

Ananta: The newest member in the group with primary responsibility for watering the plants. An assistant for all jobs, he is always ready to fill a gap whenever needed.

Nityananda: The link to old village traditions with skills in building mud houses with thatched roofs. Probably the most fearless, he is also physically strong for labour intensive jobs.
